Construction Certificate Approvals in Goulburn

A Construction Certificate Goulburn (CC) must be obtained after you receive a Development Consent from Council before any building or construction work commences. This certificate confirms that the construction plans and development specifications comply with the Building Code of Australia and other council requirements, allowing the project to proceed through the Construction Certificate Approval stage.

A CC is not required for building work that is exempt or complying development, or for Crown building work under Construction Approval NSW planning regulations.

A CC application should include detailed building plans, engineering details, and specifications. The plans will likely contain more information than the approved development application plans to allow your builder to work directly from them. These documents are assessed as part of the Construction Certificate Process NSW to ensure compliance with all planning and building regulations before construction begins.

The finished building must be consistent with the CC documents and the development consent. Any changes to your plans that are inconsistent with the DA plans will need to be assessed, and a subsequent application to modify the development consent may be required before Construction Certificate Approval can be maintained.
